COMMUNITY BUDGET FORUM Come learn about the 2026-27 School Budget, which includes a 0.1% tax levy decrease. For information about the budget, see the district website.
 MEET THE CANDIDATES The CCSD Parent Groups will be hosting a Meet the Candidates Night moderated by the Mid-Hudson League of Women Voters on Tuesday, May 12th at 7 PM in the GFMS Auditorium. The event will be livestreamed and posted on the district website for those not able to attend in person. Please send questions for the candidates to gfmspta@carmelschools.org now through May 9th. All submitted questions will be given to the moderator to include as time allows.
 VOTER'S GUIDE Get more information about the MAY 19 Budget Vote and Board of Education Elections in this handy CCSD Voter's Guide, which contains everything you need to be an informed voter. Find your polling place, learn about the five candidates who are running for the two open Board seats, see videos explaining how the district actually cut taxes to create the 2026-27 school budget and more. Remember: EVERY VOTE COUNTS!
BLUE FLASHING LIGHTS MEAN STAY AWAY When our schools are involved in a safety drill or safety procedure, the blue strobe light at the front of a school building flashes on and off. That is a signal to parents and visitors to stay away from the school building. Please watch this video for more information.

Join us for our 4th Grade Mingler!! Presented by the parent groups of MPES, KES and KPS on June 6th from 7-9pm.
(PLEASE NOTE THIS SIGNUP IS FOR MPES ONLY; KE AND KP WILL SEND THEIR OWN SIGNUPS). This event will be held at George Fischer Middle School and give all of our 4th graders a chains to have fun and meet before they start middle school!
This event is a drop off event. All students will check in with an adult at their school table. Please make sure to fill in ALL information so our event and dismissal will run as smoothly as possible.

Teen Art Takeover with Hudson Valley Inter Arts Fridays in July & August from 2:00-4:00. Grades entering 6th-12th. A 6-week hands-on art series filled with creativity, inspiration, and fun as talented artists lead exciting Friday workshops where teens can explore new techniques, express themselves, and create amazing art. Plus, participants will enjoy a special field trip to Hudson Valley Inter Arts in Patterson, NY for a bonus Digital Arts class!
