1. Handed back some papers. One of those was the Julius Caesar Act I quiz. I informed students that I would allow them to RE-TAKE the Act I quiz, but it must be done on Monday. If there's any reason you can't do it then, I need to be told ASAP. The quiz will be the same quiz and you'll just write your new answers on it.
THERE ARE NOTES FOR ACTS II AND III IN THE CAESAR FOLDER. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CHECK THEM OUT.
2. I handed out several papers today (all attached here). Antony's Soliloquy with my notes, Brutus/Antony speeches and questions, and the last sheet (which I neglected to hand out) for Act IV and V. There will be a quiz on Acts II and III Monday in class, so students must do whatever they can to do well on that quiz. The link for No Fear Shakespeare is in the Julius Caesar folder. The notes for Antony's Soliloquy should be read over for Monday. Students must also finish reading Act III (yes, all of it).
3. I gave students four questions to answer from last night's reading, but students were allowed to use their books. This was timed. If students read, it should have been pretty easy. I collected this.
4. We then listened to part of Act III scene ii. I gave students Brutus and Antony's speeches along with questions they must have answered for Monday. These questions are based on some of the information in the speeches I gave students, but some are not, so the No Fear Shakespeare website must be used. Students should have noted the difference in how Brutus spoke to the people versus how Antony spoke to them. In addition, what are these people like?
5. Also attached here is an outline that you will want to look at for the Final exam next week (that's in addition to the vocab list I already provided for you). And to anyone who did not give me the annotation rubric, PLEASE print it and hand it in Monday. I will give you a zero if I do not have the rubric.
