CTE Keeping it Real...Real World Real Life Real Education. Career and Technical Education

NEW: THE BUSINESS EDUCATION DEPARTMENT HAS CHANGED IT'S NAME TO CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) DEPARTMENT

RECENT AWARDS:  Recognized by NYS as the Business Education Department of the Year for 2016 (previously won in 2010, 2011 & 2012).

Our Career & Technical Education (CTE) Department:

Business leaders and educators believe there are significant content areas that teachers must implement. They are global awareness, financial, economic and business literacy. These identifications are essential to the success in the workplace and communities. Business Education teachers engage students to evaluate, interpret, and connect to these content areas through real-life lessons. Business Education courses provide pathways to specialized knowledge and skills needed to live and work in the 21st Century.

Our Mission:

The philosophy of our business and marketing teachers is to help all students develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary to succeed in the workforce. These acquired skills will also prepare a student for post-secondary study in a business cluster. Business and marketing education will help students develop skills in finance, information systems, entrepreneurship, marketing and management. Business and marketing education provides instruction about the business world that is a necessary component for students to become contributing citizens who are capable of making astute economic and consumer decisions.
